Acoustic Foam Insulation Material:
Many vehicle manufacturers neglect to adequately insulate sheet metal parts, component carriers, trim panels, and other components.
This reduces the sound reproduction of aftermarket speakers due to their vibrations and resonances.
Furthermore, rearward sound waves from the speakers are reflected, distorting
the sound. Sufficient insulation and damping optimize bass response according to the speaker quality, while also improving midrange reproduction and soundstage.
Decoupling and contact damping of trim panels prevents the generation of unwanted noise. Vehicle acoustics are improved, and road noise is reduced. Acoustic foam insulation material is used for damping rearward sound waves from door or enclosure speakers, providing airborne sound insulation, and decoupling trim panels. It is water-resistant and suitable for use on the outer door panel.
Note:
Clean contact surfaces for bonding to be free of grease and dust using suitable agents.
