Range Rover 2014 – Wireless Apple CarPlay & Android Auto Upgrade

We recently upgraded this 2014 Range Rover with Wireless Apple CarPlay and Wireless Android Auto, adding modern smartphone connectivity while keeping the vehicle’s original appearance and factory equipment unchanged.

Installation Without Replacing the Original Screen

The installation was completed without replacing, cutting or modifying the original factory screen. The additional interface was fully integrated into the existing Range Rover infotainment system.

This means that the vehicle keeps its original dashboard design, original display and factory functions. The driver can easily switch between the original Range Rover menu and the new Apple CarPlay or Android Auto system whenever required.

Wireless Apple CarPlay

Wireless Apple CarPlay allows the driver to connect a compatible iPhone without using a cable. After the initial pairing, the phone can connect automatically when the vehicle is started.

The driver can access compatible applications directly through the original screen, including:

• Apple Maps
• Google Maps
• Waze
• Apple Music
• Spotify
• Phone calls
• Messages
• Podcasts
• Internet radio applications

Siri voice control can also be used for navigation, calls, messages and music.

Wireless Android Auto

The system also supports Wireless Android Auto, allowing compatible Android smartphones to connect without a cable.

Drivers can use Google Maps, Waze, Spotify, phone calls, messages and other supported applications through the vehicle’s original infotainment display. Google Assistant can also be used for convenient voice control.

Original Factory Functions Remain Available

A major advantage of this upgrade is that the vehicle’s factory system remains fully available. The installation does not remove or replace the original infotainment equipment.

The driver can continue using the original Range Rover menus and functions and can return to the factory system whenever needed.

Optional Front-View Camera

An optional front-view camera can also be added to the system.

The front camera provides improved visibility when parking, approaching low obstacles or manoeuvring in narrow areas. The camera image can be displayed directly on the vehicle’s original screen, offering additional convenience and assistance to the driver.

Clean, Factory-Style Result

The final result is a clean and discreet installation that preserves the premium interior of the Range Rover. No aftermarket screen was installed, and no visible changes were made to the dashboard.

The vehicle now benefits from modern wireless smartphone connectivity while maintaining its original factory design.
