Apple’s in-car entertainment system is called CarPlay, while Google’s is called Android Auto!

Apple CarPlay gives iPhone users an intuitive way to make calls, use Maps, listen to music and access messages with just a word or a touch. With iOS 12.0 and higher, 3rd party navigation apps like Google Maps™ are also supported. Wireless connection is available on compatible iPhones.

Wireless connection is available on compatible Android Phones.

Android Auto - Apps on Google Play
Phone Calls, Listen to music and Navigate: The apps displayed on the touchscreen are immediately recognizable and ready for use. You can call, use Google Maps, Waze, or Apple Maps to navigate, listen to music via Spotify, listen to podcasts, and use many other apps. Everything you do on your phone, but without holding it.

You can also use Siri or Google Assistant to set a new navigation route, for instance. With speech-to-text, you can even have WhatsApp messages read to you and send text messages. All this while keeping both hands on the steering wheel and your eyes on the road.

Your phone’s settings allow you to select which apps you want to use for Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. However, not all apps are suitable for this purpose in terms of road safety.
